Traditional Psalm Distribution for Sunday Vespers

SUNDAY

The Sunday Psalms are almost entirely unchanged. Psalms 114 & 115 are traditionally one Psalm. The differences are mostly in the Antiphons.

Antiphon: The Lord said.

Eastertide: Alleluia.

Psalm 110

Antiphon: The Lord said* unto my Lord, sit Thou at My right hand.

Antiphon: All His commandments.

Psalm 111

Antiphon: All His commandments* are sure; they stand fast for ever and ever.

Antiphon: In His commandments.

Psalm 112

Antiphon: In His commandments*  he delighteth greatly.

Antiphon: Blessed be the name.

Psalm 113.

Antiphon: Blessed be the name* of the Lord for evermore.

Antiphon: : We that live.

Psalms 114-115.

Antiphon: : We that live* bless the Lord.

Eastertide:  Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
