Monastic Breviary Matins (LAP)

Matins: Inv. & Hymn p. 130* NOTE: The Commons for Lesser Double Feasts has a section for “Confessor not a Bishop” which refers to the commons for “Bishop and Confessor” when these commons have elements in common. This is the case, for example, with the Inv. & Hymn). I Nocturn: Pss & Ants for Monday in the Psalter. Single Lesson (p. 1003) w/Respond on p. 129* “Well done.” II Nocturn: Pss & Ants as in the Psalter. Chapter p. 130* (Ecclus. 39. 5) w/Response as given.

Monastic Diurnal (LAP)

Lauds & Hours: Pss & Ants as for Monday in the Psalter from Chapter onward of the feast using commons for a Confessor not a Bishop p. 43*. Collect “We bseech thee” on p. 617 w/commem. of St. Faith (Ant “Well done” V/R “The Lord guided” Collect: “Almighty everlasting God” p. 617). Save Regina as usual. At the Hours all as in the Psalter from Chapter of the feast.

Vespers: all as for the Feast of the Holy Rosary of the B.V.M. p. 618-9. Pss of Sunday Ants from the feast omitting the fourth. NOTE: the end of Office Hymns is given on p. 618.
