St. Denys & Companions

Matins: I Nocturn. Inv. & Hymn Common 6. Psalms & Ants. as in Psalter. Lessons i – ii Maccabees, Lesson iii Legend as in the Proper (E469-70). Te Deum is said.

Lauds & Hours: as in the Psalter and Ordinary. From Chapter onwards of the feast. Common Commem. at Lauds is said and so are the Dominical Preces at Prime.

Vespers: as in the Psalter & Ordinary. From Chapter onwards of the feast (of St. Frances Borgia) w/commem. of St. Denys & Comp. Compline of the feria, Dominical Preces are said.

Alternatively St. John Leonard can be kept as a double. In that case St. Denys & Comp. are commemorated. No Common Commem. and no Preces are said because St. John’s feast is a (lesser) double. At Matins the iii lesson could be a combination of St. John’s Legend followed by that of St. Denys & Comp. Compline of the feria no Preces.

(If on the 10th the feast of St. Paulinus is kept I suggest he be added as a commemoration to either the feast of St. Denys or St. John at Vespers only.)
