Tuesday February 22

The Simple Kalendar does not commemorate the Chair of St. Peter this day, instead the feria is kept without taking any notice of that feast.

Wednesday February 23

Vigil of St. Matthias the Apostle

All from Common 1 as noted on p. E104. Please read the rubrical note on p. F6 in order to observe the Vigil!

Matins: I Nocturn with Gospel & 3 Lessons.

Lauds 2: Collect of the Feast.

Little Hours: Collect of the Feast, Vigil ends with None.

Vespers: All from Common 2 except what is given as Proper in the Proper of the Saints (p. E104-105). Note that the 2nd stanza to the Office Hymn is from the Proper! Ignore the rubrical notes for the UK (Universal Kalendar).
